The Cobblestone Rewards Visa Signature® Card is a no annual fee hotel rewards card that offers significant value for a niche audience. The card, from Commerce Bank, rewards members of the Cobblestone Rewards loyalty program on stays with independent hotels worldwide – all for no annual fee.
Cobblestone Hotels
Cobblestone isn’t the biggest of names in the hotel industry. That said, the chain features over 150 properties throughout the Southern and Midwestern states. Cobblestone Hotels are found in smaller communities, with the goal being to fill a gap in the market left by larger chains. The Cobblestone Hotels portfolio of properties is divided into five brands, which vary in price point and amenities. The brands that make up the Cobblestone family are:

Cobblestone Hotels is part of the more extensive VOILÀ loyalty program. The VOILÀ programs include over 800 properties worldwide. VOILÀ prides itself on being one of the most comprehensive programs for smaller hotel chains and boutique properties.
How to Earn Rewards
Like the VOILÀ Hotels Rewards Visa Card, the Cobblestone Rewards Visa Signature® earns 5X points on eligible stays. The card earns those 5X points on visits with participating Cobblestone Hotels. Every other purchase with the card earns 1X points. Cobblestone points never expire
Earn Additional Points Through Cobblestone and VOILA Membership Tiers
Cobblestone Rewards Cardholders earn additional points through their membership tier with VOILÀ Rewards. Silver is the base level of membership, earning 10X points on participating stays. Since the Cobblestone Card earns 5X points, that means members can earn up to 15X on eligible stays. That earning rate increases to 17X points for Gold members. This rate is 5X points for the card, plus 12X as a Gold member. Reaching Gold status in VOILÀ Rewards requires ten eligible stays in one year. Platinum is the highest tier and earns the most points. Platinum members receive up to 20X points per eligible stay (15X for the visit and 5X through the Visa Signature Card). This status requires 20 eligible nights at participating properties over one year.

20,000 Bonus Points Offer
The Cobblestone Rewards Visa Signature® also comes with the same introductory bonus as the VOILÀ Hotels Card. New cardholders earn 20,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 in the first 90 days. 20,000-point bonus is the equivalent to what a Silver member in the VOILÀ loyalty program can earn with a $1,300 spent at participating properties (like Cobblestone).
How to Redeem Rewards
Rewards points apply to the VOILÀ loyalty program. The most popular redemption method is staying with Cobblestone brands. Free nights start as low as 12,000 points, though there are restrictions with award nights. To redeem a free night, a Cobblestone or VOILÀ Rewards member must have one eligible stay at a participating property within the previous two years. This means that even though the 20,000-signup bonus is enough for a free night, it isn’t redeemable right away. Points are also redeemable for gift cards with select partners. These partners include airlines like Virgin Atlantic, American Airlines, and Ethiopian Airlines, plus major retailers. Redemptions for gift cards start as low as 1,000 points, though members will find better value through stays.
50% Bonus on Cobblestone Stays
Cobblestone Rewards Visa Signature® Cardholders also benefit from a potential 50% increase in points. After spending $10,000 on the card in the purchasing year, cardholders get an extra 50% points on eligible Cobblestone brand stays.
A Competitive APR
The regular APR with the Cobblestone Rewards Visa Signature® is comparable to other no annual fee hotel cards. Those with the best credit scores can expect interest rates in the 16% to 17% range. Those with lower credit scores, however, can expect an APR that rises as high as almost 27%. There’s also no introductory period on balance transfers or purchases.
Should You Apply for the Cobblestone Rewards Visa Signature® Card?
The Cobblestone Rewards Visa Signature® Card is a quality option for those who prefer to stay at hotels outside of big cities. This is the main appeal of the Cobblestone brand, as it offers a small-town feel – just outside of major metropolitan areas. The card also benefits those who prefer to stay with boutique and independent hotel brands, since it’s part of the VOILÀ loyalty program. There are more than 800 properties in the VOILÀ loyalty program worldwide. The card rewards VOILÀ members with an additional 5X points on eligible stays, which rises to 15X points through membership. Free nights with VOILÀ start as low as 12,000 points. Since the card comes with an offer of 20,000 bonus points, it’s a very achievable goal indeed.
