New accounts can earn $750 in rewards when you spend $7,500 in eligible purchases on the account owner’s card within the first 120 days of account opening. That bonus requires approximately $1,900 in monthly spending for the first four months, which is very feasible for companies that plan to issue multiple employee cards (free of charge).

Earn Up to 5X Points On Purchases.

The U.S. Bank Business Leverage® Visa Signature® Card specializes in unlimited cash back. Cardholders earn an impressive 5% cash back on prepaid hotels and car rentals booked directly in the Travel Rewards Center.

As mentioned, cardholders earn double rewards (2% cash back for every dollar spent on net purchases) on purchases made in the top two categories where they spend the most money. Categories available for double rewards include airlines, advertising, automotive repairs, computer services and stores, groceries, office supplies, hotels, insurance providers, and more.

What We Like About the Card

Solid Cash Back Rewards

The U.S. Bank Business Leverage® Visa Signature® Card is specifically designed to help business owners maximize their potential. With its cash back rewards program, you can earn money on every purchase you make, allowing you to reinvest in your business and fuel growth.

Automatic Bonus Categories

The Business Leverage Card’s great feature is the ability to add 2% cash back in your biggest spending categories. Bonus categories are great, but managing them (including activating categories each month) is frustrating and time-consuming. The Leverage streamlines this process and always gets your company the best possible rewards rate.

Things to Consider

The biggest downside with the U.S. Bank Business Leverage® Visa Signature® Card is its annual fee. Yes, U.S. Bank waives the fee for the first year and employee cards are free, but $95 is still a charge you can avoid. Chase’s Ink business cards, for example, provide similar benefits – plus 0% APR in many cases – with no annual fee.

U.S. Bank Ratings

How does the U.S. Bank rate as a lender? Here is a selection of expert reviews for U.S. Bank and its credit card products:

Should You Apply for the U.S. Bank Business Leverage Visa Signature Card?

Overall, the U.S. Bank Business Leverage Visa Signature Card is a no-nonsense business rewards card for businesses that want to make the most of their purchases while avoiding the headaches and monitoring of other rewards cards.

The flexible reward earning rate with the Business Leverage Visa Signature card is solid, but not spectacular, though U.S. Bank makes it very easy to redeem points for travel, merchandise, gift cards, and more. The card also features no annual fee for the first year, followed by a $95 fee each year after.

Other business credit cards to consider include Chase’s Ink cards, including the Chase Ink Business Cash and the Ink Business Unlimited—both excellent cash back options with no annual fee. The Ink Business Preferred also offers value but earns Ultimate Rewards points instead of cash back.
