Wells Fargo Business Platinum Card Review

The Business Platinum Card from Wells Fargo Bank is an attractive small business card option for small-to-medium-sized companies looking for a rewards card that helps manage their day-to-day business expenses.

While Wells Fargo touts the card as “great for businesses with annual sales up to $2 million,” the reality is that the Business Platinum Card’s online management tools make it a reliable choice for any company. Members can request up to 99 additional employee cards on the account at no extra cost, and the card features no annual fees.

Earn Rewards the Way You Want

Wells Fargo offers all companies the same business card rewards program, regardless of the card they choose. Businesses can earn rewards points or cash back, providing companies with the versatility and flexibility they need for everyday purchases.

Cash back is the first rewards option with the Business Platinum Visa and offers companies an unlimited 1.5% cash back on all eligible purchases. Cash back rewards are redeemed automatically to the cardholder account, or an eligible checking or savings account each quarter and cash back disbursement occurring in March, June, September, and December.

Rewards points are the other choice, with companies earning an unlimited 1X Wells Fargo Rewards points for every qualifying purchase. Businesses also receive 1,000 bonus points every monthly billing period when they spend at least $1,000 on qualifying purchases. Wells Fargo Rewards never expire and are redeemable for airline tickets and other travel, gift cards, entertainment, and more.

New Customer Introductory Offer

New Wells Fargo Business Platinum Card customers can expect a one-time $300 cash back bonus or 30,000 bonus points when they spend $3,000 in the first three months of opening an account.

In addition to the 30,000-point bonus, new accounts also receive 0% introductory APR for nine months. One of the great features of this bonus is that the intro rate applies to both purchases and qualifying balance transfers.

Business Management Tools

The Business Platinum Card from Wells Fargo offers businesses a suite of protection from fraud, including Zero Fraud Liability in the event of unauthorized purchases and Visa’s fraud monitoring team. Cardholders can also expect Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver protection should they fund the entire rental using their card and forgo the car rental company’s insurance waiver. Companies also receive cash management tools and spending reports via Visa and Wells Fargo business solutions – helping them stay on top of their finances and employee spending.

Should You Apply for the Wells Fargo Business Platinum Card?

Overall, the Wells Fargo Business Platinum Visa Card offers everything a business needs to save money – and then some. The rewards point or cash back option is a standard feature of Wells Fargo business cards – but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth mentioning. The ability to earn decent rewards with every eligible purchase is excellent – especially when the bank offers up to 99 additional employee cards at no extra cost.

The online account management tools make it a snap for managing all cards, with detailed spending reports available online and protections to limit user spending. Add to that Visa Platinum protection, a 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers for nine months, and no annual fee, and you have a versatile business rewards card that suits a company of any size.
