BestCards is known for its robust reviews from those who have spent the time to search the Internet looking for the best credit card products and benefits available to consumers and businesses. But we’re more than just reviews; we provide the insight and analysis on all aspects of credit cards, including discussions of the latest industry developments and trends.

At BestCards, credit card discussions extend well beyond the end of the business day. Our staff are always discussing what to look for in a credit card, and rarely is there a 100% consensus.

With St. Patrick’s Day upon us, it seems fitting to turn our attention towards the best credit cards for celebrating all things Irish. Here are the best St. Patrick’s Day credit cards picks from our senior editorial staff, Allan and Cory:

Cory's St. Patrick's Day Credit Cards Picks:

green_card

American ExpressÂŽ Green Card

The American Express® Green Card is a versatile premium rewards card for those that want the excellent quality of the Amex Platinum or Gold cards, but with a more modest annual fee. The Green Card offers 3X Membership Rewards points on global dining (including takeout and delivery, plus 3X on travel – including rideshare services like Uber – so you can get home safe if you do head out. Oh yeah, it's green, too.

savor 224x141

Capital OneÂŽ SavorÂŽ Cash Rewards

The Capital One® Savor® Cash Rewards seems to always make these lists – and it's easy to see why. The card earns an unlimited 4% cash back on dining and entertainment, making it the perfect option for St. Patty's Day celebrations. Plus, if you do decide to celebrate at home, the Savor also earns an unlimited 2% back on groceries.

Chase Sapphire PreferredÂŽ

The Chase Sapphire PreferredÂŽ is my final premium choice for the best credit cards for St. Patrick's Day 2022. The $95 annual fee is pretty modest for the value that comes with the card, including the 60,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards points for meeting minimum spending requirements. However, the real value for revelers this March comes from the 3X on dining and groceries, plus 5X on rideshares through Lyft.

Allan's St. Patrick's Day Credit Cards Picks:

blue cash

Blue Cash PreferredÂŽ Card

The Blue Cash Preferred®’s main draw is 6% cash back earned on groceries (up to $6,000 per year) at U.S. supermarkets. This means high rewards when stocking up on Irish beer or supplies for an Irish-inspired meal. As an added bonus, the card also earns 6% cash back on select U.S. streaming service subscriptions. Since it’s still not recommended to participate in mass gatherings yet, an indoors celebration with a great movie or show is a sound plan B.

macys amex

Macy’s American Express® Card

If you need new green apparel to avoid being pinched, the Macy’s American Express® Card can help you take advantage of stylish deals. But it also pays dividends beyond St. Patrick’s Day with 3% cash back at restaurants, 2% at gas stations and supermarkets, and 1% earned everywhere else. Whether it’s a quick new addition to the closet or a whole wardrobe update, this card won’t let you down.

aer lingus visa credit card

Aer Lingus Visa SignatureÂŽ Card

As we get closer to a post-coronavirus reality, many of us have already felt the travel bug itching at us. Be it for St. Patrick’s Day or not, why not start planning a trip to the Emerald Isle? The Aer Lingus Visa Signature® currently offers a huge signup bonus of 100,000 Avios that can go towards future adventures. Just remember to take proper safety precautions as you begin to venture out in the world again.

Do you agree with my choices? Disagree? Either way, have a festive, safe, and happy St. Patrick's Day!"
