About SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union

SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union is a California-based credit union that serves teachers and the wider-educational community. With its headquarters in Santa Ana, CA, the credit union is one of the largest credit unions in the United States, with over $16 billion in total assets.

SchoolsFirst FCU dates to 1934 and the depths of the Great Depression. In 1934, 125 school employees started the Orange County Teachers Credit Union. That credit union originally had a state charter, updated for a federal charter in 1983, as the credit union became Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union. The FCU took its current name, SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, in 2008, as it merged with Schools Financial Credit Union.

SchoolsFirst offers a full range of banking services, including savings and checking accounts, loans, mortgages, investments, and credit cards.
