University of South Florida Federal Credit Union (also known as USF Federal Credit Union or USF FCU) is a Tampa-based credit union for employees, faculty, and students of the University of South Florida, and affiliated companies in the Tampa Bay metropolitan area.

Membership Eligibility

Membership in USF Federal Credit Union depends on an individual’s eligibility. The following groups and individuals are eligible to join the credit union:

  • University of South Florida staff, faculty, and students on any USF campus
  • Employees of all companies housed on the USF campus or the USF Research Park
  • Current members of the USF Alumni Association
  • Retired persons receiving a pension from USF
  • Immediate family and household members of current USF FCU members
  • Employees and retirees of the credit union
  • Employees of any USF Federal Credit Union affiliated business sin the Tampa Bay area
  • Officials and employees of the Municipal, State and Federal Government in Sarasota, Manatee, Pinellas, Desoto, Charlotte, and Lee County, FL
  • Military personnel (active or Veteran) stationed or working in Sarasota, Manatee, Pinellas, Desoto, Charlotte or Lee County, FL
  • Members of any Anabaptist congregation in Sarasota, Manatee, Pinellas, Desoto, Charlotte or Lee County, FL
  • Employees of Darden and Red Lobster (through affiliated credit unions)

Applicants will need the following to join:

  • A copy of their current government-issued ID (passport, driver’s license, ID card, etc.)
  • An initial $5 deposit to fund a primary savings account

Additional information may be required, depending on the applicant’s current standing at the university:

  • Proof of school/local address (if applicable)
  • Proof of eligibility (paystub, school ID, etc.)
  • International Students will also need to provide a J-1 Visa, F-1 Visa, or Form I-20.
