About United Federal Credit Union

United Federal Credit Union is a federally chartered credit union that serves its members in six U.S. states. The credit union offers a full selection of products and services to individuals and businesses, including checking and savings accounts, credit cards, home and auto loans, business loans, and more.

United Federal Credit Union traces its history back over 70 years. Both Nineteen Hundred Employee Credit Union and Buchanan Clark Employee Credit Union were originally founded in the 1940s to serve the employees of what would eventually become the Whirlpool Corporation and Clark Equipment Company.

The two credit unions merged in 2006 and continued with the name United Federal Credit Union (a name the then Whirlpool Employees Federal Credit Union has taken almost two decades before). Today, the credit union boasts more than 175,000 members in all 50 U.S. States and the District of Columbia. In total, the credit union has over $3 billion in assets, making it one of the largest credit unions in the country.
