How to Earn Rewards in MGM Rewards

As mentioned, members in MGM Rewards earn tier credits and points. Here is how to earn points in the program:

MGM Stays

The easiest way to earn rewards points is through eligible stays at MGM-operated properties worldwide.

MGM Rewards Mastercard

The MGM Rewards Mastercard® (formerly the M life® Rewards Mastercard®) is a no annual fee hotel and gaming reward credit card from MGM and FNBO. The card provides automatic Peral status, no foreign transaction fees, and the chance to earn MGM Rewards points and tier credits on every purchase.

The MGM Rewards Mastercard® earns reward points in the following categories:

  • 3X points and tier credits per $1 spent at MGM Rewards destinations
  • 2X points and tier credits per $1 spent on gas and supermarket purchases
  • 1X points and tier credits per $1 spent on all other purchases

BetMGM Rewards Points

MGM Rewards members can also earn rewards points via gaming through BetMGM and its associated mobile app. Loyalty program members earn MRM Rewards points for the following activities:

  • Playing slots, video lottery terminals, or video poker
  • When gaming based on your time played, average bet, and game type
  • On hotel and dining spend

Do MGM Rewards Points Expire?

MGM Rewards points expire after six months of inactivity on the member’s account. That said, points never expire for Pearl tier members or higher. And, since the MGM Rewards Mastercard provides this feature, it is a great way to keep points from expiring while enjoying the best of Las Vegas with elite perks and discounts.

What Are MGM Rewards Points Worth?

How to Redeem MGM Rewards Points

Points can be turned into comped rooms, free tickets to shows, unique dining experiences, entertainment, spa treatments, and more. Tier Credits are used to achieve a higher status level within the rewards program. They can open the door to exclusive benefits and perks that are not available to standard program members.
