About Oregon State Credit Union

Oregon State Credit Union is a leading Oregon credit union and serves as the credit union for the Oregon State University.

OSCU, as it is also known, dates to 1954 and Bob Coyle, an associate professor at the then Oregon State College. Coyle, the assistant professor of agriculture, created Oregon State Credit Union with just $25 in a shoebox to serve the unmet financial needs of Oregon State faculty. By 1960, the credit union had over $1 million in deposits.

Today, OSCU serves members in 24 Oregon counties. It also still echoes the original philosophy of its founding: “Your credit union is in business for one purpose only — to serve the needs of its members.”
