Citi has added Walmart to its Shop with Points feature for Citi ThankYou cardmembers. The latest addition to Citi ThankYou Shop with Points gives s cardmembers over 4,700 more U.S. locations to purchase with ThankYou Points.
Use Citi ThankYou Points to Shop with Points at 4,700+ Locations
While most of our current plans involve Halloween, more and more Americans are beginning to prepare for the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. According to recent Walmart research, 56% of customers start their holiday shopping research and planning in October. More than 80% of customers who plan to shop at Walmart this holiday season are doing so because of Walmart’s low prices.
Now, eligible U.S. Citi cardmembers can use Shop with Points directly at the point of sale in over 4,700 Walmart locations across the nation. With Walmart, ThankYou points can be redeemed for groceries, toys, electronics, and more.
For consumers who have a card that earns ThankYou Points, Shop with Points is easy and seamlessly incorporated into the check-out experience – it only takes a few steps:
- Shop in-store at a U.S. Walmart store and initiate the check-out process
- Pay with an eligible Citi credit card for a purchase totaling more than $10.01
- If the payment terminal screen prompts an offer to redeem ThankYou points, select “yes” to use points to pay for $10 of that purchase. Once selected, $10 will instantly be deducted from the total payment amount
- Receive a receipt that indicates that a reward was redeemed
About Citi Shop with Points
Walmart is the newest partner to be added to Citi’s Shop with Points program. The low-price leader joins the ThankYou Shop with Points program, which currently includes brands such as 1-800 Flowers, Shell, Best Buy, CVS, PayPal, and bp/Amoco. Over the past few years, Citi has significantly expanded the redemption options for ThankYou Points to provide even more flexibility for card members.
