Discover recently announced its 2021 5% Cashback Calendar. Now the credit card issuer is making changes to its 2020 Calendar by adding Best Buy to Q4’s bonus categories – but only for a limited time.
Discover Adds Best Buy to Q4 2020 Cashback Calendar
Discover is adding a limited-time bonus to the 2020 Cashback Calendar. The Q4 5% cash back categories of Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and Target.com are now joined by Best Buy – but only for a little more than a month.
From November 25th through December 31st, 2020, purchases at Best Buy will earn 5% back when you use a Discover It card that earns cash back. Unlike the other three stores in the Q4 category, Best Buy purchases aren’t limited to online purchases. Best Buy purchases eligible for the 5% cash back include:
- Online at BestBuy.com
- Through the Best Buy mobile app
- In-store at all Best Buy locations

Best Buy purchases include only purchases made in-store at Best Buy, online at bestbuy.com, or through the Best Buy app. Cell phone purchases only includes the portion of the balance amount paid in-store at Best Buy, online at bestbuy.com, or through the Best Buy app. It does not include cell phone installment plans. Individual merchants and stand-alone stores within physical Best Buy locations, or on bestbuy.com, may not be eligible in this category.
