Chase Makes Changes to Sapphire Reserve; launches Sapphire Business Card

Chase has officially launched its revamped Chase Sapphire Reserve and introduced the first-ever Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business card. The banking giant reports these premium offerings deliver annual values exceeding $2,700 for personal cardholders and $2,500 for business customers.

New Features and Benefits

The updated Sapphire Reserve and new business version both feature comprehensive travel benefits on the Visa Infinite network. Both cards include an industry-leading suite of travel protections that cover a wider range of travel setbacks than other cards on the market.

Cardmembers also receive access to a dedicated Sapphire Reserve customer service team available 24/7, specially trained to provide support tailored to cardmembers needs.

Points Boost: A New Redemption Program

Chase is introducing “Points Boost,” a redemption program that allows cardmembers to redeem Ultimate Rewards points at up to twice their standard value on select travel offerings through Chase Travel. This applies to premium air cabin tickets and select hotels, including properties in “The Edit by Chase Travel” – a collection of over 1,100 hand-selected luxury accommodations worldwide.

For Chase Travel purchases not eligible for Points Boost offers, points can be redeemed at a 1:1 rate on Chase Travel, replacing the previous 1.5x on all Chase Travel purchases.

Points earned prior to October 26, 2025, by existing Sapphire Reserve cardmembers can still be redeemed at 1.5x on Chase Travel until October 26, 2027. During this transition period, cardmembers will automatically receive the best offer available, whether it’s Points Boost or 1.5x on Chase Travel.

Expanded Airport Lounge Network

Both cards provide access to Chase’s expanding airport lounge network, Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club, which currently includes award-winning locations at Boston Logan International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and Philadelphia International Airport. Additional locations are in development.

Cardmembers also receive entry to over 1,300 lounges with Priority Pass Select and more than 20 select Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges and Air Canada Cafés when traveling on a Star Alliance airline.

Updated Sapphire Reserve Personal Card Benefits

The Sapphire Reserve annual fee is now $795— a significant climb. For the personal card, authorized users will pay $195 annually, an increase from the previous fee.

The new fee means new features, however. The refreshed personal Sapphire Reserve card includes:
