About Clearview Federal Credit Union

Clearview Federal Credit Union is a Wester Pennsylvania-based credit union with its headquarters in Moon Township, just outside Pittsburgh, PA.  The credit union serves those who live, work, worship, attend school, or volunteer in the Southwestern Pennsylvania community – something it has done continuously since the early 1950s.

Clearview was founded in 1953 as the Allegheny Airlines Federal Credit Union in Washington, D.C. In 1966, the union moved to the Pittsburgh, PA area, where it continued to serve employees of Alleghany Airlines (later USAir and now U.S. Airways).

The Clearview Federal Credit Union name was introduced in 2004, and the charter updated to allow anyone who lived in SW PA to join. That membership eligibility was extended further over the years, reflecting the credit union’s current broad eligibility.

Who Can Join Clearview FCU?

Membership in Clearview Federal Credit Union is currently open to the following individuals:

• Those who live, work, worship, attend school, or volunteer in the following Pennsylvania counties:
  • Allegheny
  • Armstrong
  • Beaver
  • Butler
  • Fayette
  • Greene
  • Indiana
  • Lawrence
  • Washington
  • Westmoreland
• Immediate household members and those maintaining a single economic unit with a current Clearview member.

To join, applicants must meet the eligibility requirements and open a Clearview Savings account and maintain a $10 balance.

Branch Locations

Clearview currently operates 18 financial centers for members in SW Pennsylvania. These branches include the headquarters in Moon Township, as well as locations in Pittsburgh, Wexford, East Liverpool, Canonsburg, Butler, and more.
