About Black Hills Federal Credit Union

Black Hills Federal Credit Union (also known as BHFCU) is a South Dakota-based federal credit union. The credit union provides a full array of services and products to members ins elect South Dakota counties, including checking and savings accounts, mortgages, credit cards, and more.

Who Can Join BHFCU?

Membership eligibility with Black Hills Federal Credit Union is straightforward.

Those who live in specific South Dakota counties, as well as their immediate family and household members, are eligible for membership.  Those South Dakota counties are Pennington, Buffalo, Butte, Custer, Dewey, Fall River, Haakon, Hughes, Hyde, Jerauld, Lawrence, Lincoln, Meade, McCook, Miner, Minnehaha, Sanborn, Stanley, Sully, Turner, and Ziebach.

Those who don’t reside in any of the eligible counties can also join by donating to the Black Hills FCU Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to improve lives in the communities the credit union serves.

Black Hills Federal Credit Union Branch Locations

BHFCU has several branches – or “member service centers” in the South Dakota area. These include five branches in Rapid City, SD, and three branches in Sioux Falls, SD. Other BHFCU locations include branches in:
