Given the severity of the coronavirus outbreak currently gripping the world, the pressures placed on healthcare workers are enormous. As the front line in the war against COVID-19, there is a growing sentiment that these heroes should be thanked at every opportunity. More and more companies are offering perks for medical professionals – and now JetBlue Airways is giving away free flights as a thank you to healthcare workers.
Complete Offer Details
JetBlue is the latest company to get in on this good cause, offering free round trip flights for select healthcare professionals. The carrier is providing 100,000 round trip flights for two to healthcare workers – anywhere JetBlue flies.
People can nominate their healthcare hero using the hashtag #JetBlueHealthcareHero, anytime between now and 11:59 pm on May 15, 2020. People can also nominate friends and family through the dedicated JetBlue Sweepstakes site, thus removing the need for a social media account.
Nominees must be 18 years of age and legal residents of the 48 contiguous U.S. states, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico, to be eligible. Free flight recipients are liable for both flight taxes and additional fees.
JetBlue will select winners at random, with 90,000 pairs of free flights going to contest entrants. The carrier will donate the remaining 10,000 round trip flights to healthcare workers in New York City, the airline’s home base. These tickets will go to both private and public workers.
