American Airlines and Vinesse Wines are launching Flagship® Cellars. The new joint venture offers ultra-premium in-flight wines delivered to your door, and purchases earn 2X AAdvantage miles per dollar spent.

Flagship Cellars
American Airlines, the world’s largest carrier, is stepping into the wine business. The airline is teaming with Vinesse Wines to launch Flagship® Cellars. The new collection includes a “curated assortment of exclusive ultra-premium in-flight wines to enjoy in your home,” chosen by an “award-winning Master Sommelier exclusively for American Airlines.”
The launch of Flagship® Cellars follows the closure of AA Flagship Lounges across the network. This is a direct response to the impact the coronavirus pandemic has had on travel. With the lounges closed, and fewer Americans flying than in previous years, American was left with an abundance of fine wines. Enter the new program.

Earn AAdvantage Miles On Eligible Purchases
Customers over the age of 21 can purchase individual bottles, curated collections, or wine subscriptions through the American Airlines Flagship® Cellars online portal. Flagship Cellars is currently the only wine program affiliated with an airline and sells its onboard wines for at-home delivery.
The new American Airlines wine service is good news for AAdvantage members. AAdvantage members earn 2X points per dollar spent with the Flagship® Cellars site. AAdvantage credit cardholders will have the chance to earn extra miles on top of the 2X miles that comes with Vinesse / American Airlines Flagship Cellars purchases. Earn Extra Rewards with Grand Reserve
The new Flagship® Cellars program’s launch is even better news for holders of the Grand Reserve™ World Mastercard®. That card earns 5X points on wine purchases at more than 400 wineries, wine clubs, and other Grand Reserve Partners – including Vinesse Wines. This partnership allows Grand Reserve cardholders to earn points in both the Grand Reserve Rewards and American Airlines AAdvantage loyalty programs.
