About Pacific Service Credit Union

Pacific Service Credit Union is a California-based credit union with its headquarters in Concord, CA. The credit union is the official credit union of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) from which it gets its name.

The history of the credit union dates to 1936. While initially only for employees of PG&E, today membership is a much broader range of members, including anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in 12 California counties.

Membership Eligibility

Membership eligibility in Pacific Service Credit Union is available to anyone who meets one of the following criteria:

  • Current employees and retirees of Pacific Gas and Electric Company or any of its subsidiaries
  • Employees of any of Pacific Services’ partner companies
  • Employees of any company that is served by PG&E, including:
    • Temporary employees
    • Contractors
    • Vendors associated with Corestaff
  • Anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the following California counties:
    • Alameda
    • Contra Costa
    • Fresno
    • Marin
    • Napa
    • Placer
    • Sacramento
    • San Francisco
    • San Mateo
    • Santa Clara
    • Solano
    • Sonoma
  • The immediate family and household members (including roommates) of a current Pacific Service CU member
  • Employees (or employers) of public or private energy-based entities located in California or Texas

To join Pacific Services Credit Union, an eligible individual must open an account (no fee required) and present the following information:

  • Social Security Number or Individual Tax ID Number
  • A valid form of State identification (current ID card or driver’s license)
